Sustainability – what is it?
“Sustainable”, “sustainable management & growth”, “sustainability” …
These terms are more relevant today than ever before and are becoming increasingly important – especially as our resources on this planet are limited and in some cases actually finite.
The term “sustainability” originally comes from forestry:
“Sustainability in forestry refers to the forestry practice of sustainability, i.e. a principle of action for the use of resources that focuses on preserving the essential characteristics, stability and natural regenerative capacity of the forest.”

And our filling machines? Our
Tube filling machines and
Bottle filling machines?
It’s hard to imagine what could be more sustainable today: Some of our machines, such as the TUFÜMA 50 pictured above, have been running since the 1960s – year after year, with very little maintenance.
Robust. Durable. Flexible.
If you evaluate our machines according to the net present value principle over their entire service life, you will see:
They are not only economically superior, but also ecologically sensible – and therefore a real example of sustainability “Made in Germany” in practice.
