Do Gustav Obermeyer's filling systems come with a manufacturer's warranty?

Depending on the machine type, we offer a 6–12-month warranty; upon request, we can extend the warranty to up to 24 months.

Thanks to our in-house manufacturing, we can guarantee a lifetime supply of replacement and wear parts for many mechanical components and, if necessary, deliver the required parts quickly. This does not apply to purchased parts; however, we ensure a long-term supply of these as well by maintaining inventory.

Electronic components often have shorter product lifecycles. We rely on high-quality standard components that come with long-term support from the manufacturers. If an electronic component is discontinued, we can notify you in a timely manner so that you can build up a stockpile if necessary. We also offer an electronics update service, in which, as part of a major overhaul, all electronic components of your Gustav Obermeyer machine are brought up to date, ensuring long-term reliability.

Our machines are manufactured exclusively in Germany. That’s why our motto is: “REALLY Made in Germany”

The delivery time for our machines depends on the scope of the order and the machine type. We typically keep standard machines (primarily tube filling machines) in stock in their basic configuration. Therefore, delivery times are generally short. For custom machines, we strive to limit the delivery time to a maximum of 12 months (usually less).

Of course, this depends on the scope of the order, the extent of new development, and the specific requirements for the machine, such as pharmaceutical-grade design, explosion protection, and the level of documentation (qualification documents such as IQ/OQ, material certificates, etc.).

We generally adhere to the V-Model. Every piece of documentation provided by the customer has a corresponding document on our end. The customer’s requirements specification becomes our scope of work (as confirmation of the order), and the design is defined in a binding layout that the customer countersigns. A pre-FAT (“integration test”) may be scheduled, followed by the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with the customer. After the FAT report is countersigned, commissioning or a Site Acceptance Test takes place, depending on the scope, with IQ/OQ/PQ reports.

However, we are flexible enough to accommodate changes requested by the client even DURING the project.

Commissioning is performed by our technicians and electricians. We normally expect the system to have already been delivered to the site and all necessary infrastructure to be in place. During commissioning, the responsible employees of the company receive training. Typically, commissioning is performed by the technician who led the assembly of the machine, as he is thoroughly familiar with every screw.

Our corporate philosophy is that our customer always speaks directly with the design engineer who leads the machine design, and that the acceptance test is conducted by the assembly technician who was responsible for manufacturing the machine.

Yes, our filling lines can be expanded with various machine components, such as our GSM500 screw capper or TZS110 tube feeding system, as well as with additional stations.

First, we need to know the customer’s specifications—specifically, the desired level of automation. Should product feeding and processing be fully automated? It is important to know the required output per hour, per shift, or the planned annual production volumes. Also important is the initial range of container/tube sizes to be processed (diameter, height, or length) and the material (PE or aluminum/metal, glass). Subsequently, we will need samples of the containers or tubes.

In some cases, labeling can also take place within the machine; however, for reasons of flexibility, filling/sealing, labeling, and packaging are usually carried out in separate machines. We offer line responsibility for all processing steps (labeling and cartoning); for certain requirements, such as feeding and tray packaging, we have our own solutions.
