Filling machines for chemical products
We produce high-quality filling machines for special requirements in the high-quality chemical industry. As the designs of these plants do not differ from those for our other target industries, the same advantages of our machines can be found: extreme robustness (especially against different chemicals) and durability, flexible use and scalability as well as the possibility of an explosion-proof design. This is why large chemical companies for special challenges, also in aircraft technology, from Europe, Asia and the USA can be found in our customer portfolio.
Filling chemicals – mastering challenges
In contrast to our competitors, our systems are usually made of high-quality stainless steel and welded frame. We do not use “aluminium profiles” that are screwed (or cobbled) together. Wherever possible, we avoid pneumatics in the drive technology and in the stations, but use cam-controlled drives and, e.g. in the screwing technology, servo motors. Therefore our systems are not “cheap”, but inexpensive.
The design guarantees efficient use of resources, because the most expensive drive technology is pneumatics. A further advantage of our construction method is the outstanding durability of our systems. Lifetimes of 25 years and more are not uncommon, but common. We analyse your requirements exactly and convert them into solutions for you. The parameters are usually entered into a user-friendly interface, stored and can be individually adjusted according to your requirements. Our excellent service is well known – if you have any problems, call the engineer who designed the system for you. We are small enough to be able to respond to your individual needs, but large enough to meet the most demanding challenges.
Chemicals must always be handled with care – our filling systems do this
In the chemical industry there are two basic requirements to be respected:
The plants must be extremely robust and all materials used for the machines, whether surfaces, frames, seals, must be resistant and precisely matched to the properties of the products. Furthermore, it is particularly important to observe the accident prevention regulations – if it is necessary not to come into contact with the product, the equipment must be built exactly as it is: enclosed, no possibility of intervention other than that provided for. Accident prevention is a particular concern of Gustav Obermeyer!
Plants for the chemical industry by Gustav Obermeyer
As diverse as the chemical products are, so are the requirements, which in turn necessitate a variety of machine types. There are hardly any real standard machines here; all solutions are individual designs tailored to customers’ needs.
But stop!
There is one type of standard machine that is also used in the chemical industry: the tube filling machine. And we have several versions of this: The semi-automatic TU25, our TU60/80, the extremely robust TU91 and our oval tube filler TU110. For metal tubes, we can also produce our TU60/80 in an Ex-version and as such it is used several times. You will find tube fillers at detergent manufacturers, producers of industrial cleaning agents, of abrasive pastes, kit and also – the TU110OV – for shoe polishes. But there are always special requirements to be met, so that even these “standard machines” are individually adapted.
In order to nevertheless bridge the gap between individual solutions and proven machines, we rely on a modular strategy. Proven components and station – filling machines, assembly stations and screwing machines such as our GSM500, are individually assembled for our customers on specific platforms, such as in-line filler AL101, rotary transfer machines such as FA25 or AL31 and oval machines such as AL110.
