ATEX-compliant filling systems & packaging machines for the chemical industry

Gustav Obermeyer develops and manufactures high-quality filling systems tailored to the specific requirements of the international chemical industry. Based on our proven machine platforms, we offer precisely the advantages that are crucial for chemical filling systems:

  • Extreme material durability: Maximum resistance to a wide variety of chemicals, including aggressive ones, for outstanding longevity.
  • Explosion Protection (ATEX): Optional explosion-proof design for safe use in production environments with a risk of explosion.
  • Flexibility & Scalability: Versatile and easily adaptable to different container sizes, viscosities, and requirements.

Thanks to this reliability, our client portfolio includes major chemical companies from Europe, Asia, and the U.S. that face unique challenges, including those in the field of aircraft technology.

Filling chemicals - mastering challenges

Unlike many industry standards, we consistently use solid, welded stainless steel frames instead of bolted aluminum profiles. To keep your operating costs low over the long term, we largely avoid energy-intensive pneumatic systems. Instead, we rely on high-precision, curve-controlled drives and modern servo motors.

  • Thanks to reduced compressed air consumption and an extremely robust design, your investment will pay for itself over decades. A service life of 25 years or more is the norm, not the exception, for our systems.
  • All process parameters can be customized, saved, and easily accessed via user-friendly touch interfaces.
  • If you have any questions or need adjustments, you can speak directly with the design engineer who developed your system— without having to go through service hotlines. We combine the flexibility of a specialized medium-sized company with the capability to handle highly complex tasks.

Chemicals should always be used with caution - our filling systems do just that

In the chemical industry, there are two basic requirements that chemical filling systems must meet:

  • The systems must be extremely robust, and all materials used in the machines—whether surfaces, frames, or seals—must be durable and precisely tailored to the properties of the products.
  • In addition, it is particularly important to observe accident prevention regulations—if it is necessary to avoid contact with the product, the equipment must be constructed accordingly: fully enclosed, with no access points other than those specifically provided for that purpose. Accident prevention is a top priority at Gustav Obermeyer!

Systems from Gustav Obermeyer for the chemical industry

As diverse as the chemical products are, so are the requirements, which in turn require a variety of machine types. There are hardly any truly standard machines here; all solutions are customized, individual designs. But wait!

There is one type of standard machine that is also used in the chemical industry: the tube filling machine. And we have several versions of these: The semi-automatic TU25our TU60/80, the extremely robust TU91 and our oval tube filler TU110. For metal tubes we can offer our TU60/80 for metal tubes and it is used as such several times. You will find tube fillers at cleaning agent manufacturers, manufacturers of industrial cleaning agents, abrasive pastes, kits and also – the TU110 – for shoe polish. However, there are always special requirements to be met, so these “standard machines” are also customized.

However, in order to bridge the gap between individual solutions and tried-and-tested machines, we rely on a modular strategy. Proven components and stations – filling machines, assembly stations and capping machines such as our GSM500are combined on certain platforms, such as the inline filler AL101rotary transfer machines such as the FA25 or AL31 and oval machines such as AL110individually assembled for our customers.
