In the pharmaceutical industry, the demands on filling systems are at a high level. In practice, a distinction is made here between different clean room classes and therefore there are different clean room concepts for machines. A distinction is also made between sterile and non-sterile filling. 

The parameters of filling accuracy, process reliability, cleaning and cleanliness are also of great value and product traceability, also known as “Track and Trace”, is becoming increasingly important in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, the safety of the plants in terms of plant operation and compliant products is of extremely high priority.

Gustav Obermeyer is mainly active in the pharmaceutical industry with filling systems for tubes and bottles. Here, the tubes made of aluminum as well as plastic and PE laminate, which are common in the pharmaceutical industry, can be processed. For bottle filling machines we offer machines for all typical pharmaceutical bottle materials and shapes. Bottle filling also includes the specific applications for nasal sprays, vials, dropper bottles, etc.  

Furthermore, we have filling machines for syringes and special containers for the pharmaceutical industry, according to customer requirements, in our portfolio.   

The pharmaceutical machines from Gustav Obermeyer convince with smooth surfaces, an easy-to-clean design and user-friendliness. The high demands on filling accuracy and process reliability can be guaranteed by servo motor drives and sophisticated software.  

All our machines are GMP-compliant. Parts in contact with the product are made of stainless steel AISI 316L or FDA-compliant plastics as standard. We also have appropriate solutions for sterile pharmaceutical filling using laminar flow systems.  

Common to all systems is the extraordinarily compact design of the equipment. This is a value that should not be underestimated, as the production rooms must meet high standards of cleanliness, even sterility, and the costs of space are therefore considerably higher than in other branches of industry.
 

Machines for the pharmaceutical industry by Gustav Obermeyer

Our tube filling machines are mechanically or servo motor driven and use pneumatics only for their auxiliary functions such as venting etc. All tube filling machines are constructed of welded stainless steel frames made of AISI 304 with smooth surfaces. Therefore they are perfectly suitable for clean room operation. This applies equally to our semi-automatic TU25, our TU60 or TU80 and our TU91. Especially suitable for the pharmaceutical industry are the TU91 as a rotary transfer machine and the TU110 as an oval filling machine. Because in their cases the stations are completely encapsulated, i.e. enclosed in stainless steel housings made of AISI 304L. 

In addition, Gustav Obermeyer produces compact rotary transfer machines for cough syrups, nasal spray and dropper bottles with rotary pistons or peristaltic pumps such as our AL55 and AL31. The AL51 with two rotary transfer plates can fill and seal almost all types of bottles with closures such as aluminium roll-on caps, crimp caps, snap-on and screw caps. And of course, our line fillers for both viscous and liquid products are also used in the pharmaceutical industry together with our GSM500 automatic screwing machines. 

Particularly worth mentioning is our AL110OV platform, an oval machine on which, extremely compact, all types of capping stations and filling principles can be used and which can handle bottles and vials up to 100 p.m.
