GMP guidelines

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are guidelines for quality assurance (“good manufacturing practice”). These guidelines define minimum requirements for the manufacture, processing, packaging or storage of medicinal products, active ingredients and medical devices.

The GMP guidelines cover the following areas:

  • Quality management system
  • Personnel and qualifications
  • Premises and equipment
  • Documentation
  • Production
  • Quality control
  • Release and distribution
  • Complaints and product recalls
  • Self-inspection

GMP guidelines are particularly important for filling machines in the pharmaceutical industry, as they guarantee the quality and safety of medicines.
