New furniture for the Shalom Home
Help for the Safina Street Network
In 2023, we supported a project close to our hearts: the Safina Street Network in Tanzania. Our donation was used for
new beds, mattresses and seating in the Shalom Home in Dar es Salaam – a place of safety for children and young people.
We are particularly pleased that the furniture was made by local craftsmen – this strengthens the region and ensures long-lasting quality.
The new furnishings are already being used on a daily basis and are making a noticeable difference.
Safina Street Network has been committed to helping homeless children and young people in Tanzania since 2002. The focus is on
rapid reintegration into families – instead of mass accommodation. This principle prevents long-term dependency and promotes a stable future.
Safina now operates five facilities in the country – and continues to grow sustainably. You can find more information at:
