Filling & capping machine for vials AL55-FL + labeling machine

This automated bottle filling and capping machine AL55-FL
is the first Gustav Obermeyer system of this type to be used in pharmaceutical filling in Romania.

With seven different formats and an output of up to 50 bottles per minute, it was successfully commissioned in October 2020.
The products to be filled include oils, syrups and alcoholic and aqueous solutions with volumes between 10-150 ml.

The spatial challenge: a cleanroom area of only approx. 3 × 4 meters for the filling and capping machine. The labeling machine was placed separately in the adjacent room – due to the different cleanroom zones.
Plastic and glass bottles up to Ø 75 mm and 140 mm high can be processed. Larger formats are also possible as an option.

Closures: Screw caps, dropper inserts and even glass pipettes can be fitted fully automatically.

Description of the bottle filling and capping machine

  • Manual loading of empty bottles onto the input turntable
  • Container separation & cleaning (blow-out and suction station)
  • Filling with two rotary lobe pumps (50 % of the volume each), supply from 50 L tank with level regulator
  • Assembly of dropper insert, screw cap or pipette
  • Transport to the labeling machine with wrap-around label
  • Automatic bad part output for process reliability

The AL55-FL was also our first bottle filling machine with a motion-based Siemens controller. The filling volume, screwing torque and other parameters can be set digitally via the intuitive touch panel – supported by servomotor drives.

Thanks to the remote maintenance function and our telephone support, all adjustments could be carried out efficiently – without the need for another on-site appointment. This was a great advantage for our customer, especially during the pandemic.

We would like to thank you for the excellent cooperation and wish you continued success in production!
